it is caled Dephazer pulley. change it and it will be like new. I had the same problem on mine just 12.0000 km from new.

@AAA777777U Yours isn't the same issue I think. You car starts, but make strange noise. Our car never starts first time... I already replaced TDC sensor, and it didn't fix the problem, stil same... Don't think it's the temp sensor either, because car did same even when engine was hot... Out of solutions now :-(

Hi! I'm having the exact same problem with my Megane (also 1.6 16V)! Doesn't start with a cold engine... It does start when hot. Did you fix the problem? How? Was it the TDC (crankshaft) sensor? Or the temp sensor? I want to fix my problem... already tried 3 auto mechanics, they didn't found the problem?!? I'm desperate...

Koło Zmiennych Faz Rozrządu (KZFR) - typowy problem w 1.6 16V, problem pojawia sie tylko przy odpalaniu czesciej na zimnym zilniku, jezeli nie wymienisz to bedzie coraz glosniej i sasiadom bedzie przeszkadzac przy porannym rozruchu, moze oni cos sie dorzuca zeby bylo ciszej :)
