NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT | National Guard | PBS

Acclaimed actor Joe Mantegna introduces Gary Sinise, who pays special tribute to the "citizen soldiers" of the National Guard and their families at home during PBS's NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT. Shock waves have run through many towns across America that are deeply impacted by the loss of these men and women when tragedy strikes. The 2007 NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT airs live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Sunday, May 27, 2007 from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET (check local listings).

Gary Sinise is that rare H-wood celebrity who utilizes his "fame" for the USA's and the military's benefit. He doesn't give a rip what his peers think of him or if he's invited to the cocktail parties. He's entertaining the men and women of the US Armed Forces here on domestic soil and abroad in warzones. He's also involved in accurate portrayals of military in film, TV and documentaries, and extended his celebrity to helping Iraqi children through charity.

I have always loved this man. He is "REAL!" Unlike so many fake hollwood celebs. This man has a genuine love for his country and our UNITED STATES MILITARY!
