hm... more like "kennel assistant, I need you to lift this 100 lb animal, clean the poo in the lobby, find out where the stench of cat piss is coming from, organize the food closet, change the lights in surgery, and get these grooming cages sanitized simultaneously. The rest of us are going to pick up lunch, so have it all done before we get back in 20 minutes."

@pixiehumor So true. Thank God I got promoted to tech a few years back. I started in the kennels in 2002, and it took years to get out of that hellhole. The kennel assistants keep the place running, and they're always unappreciated and abused.

Most techs I know have started out in the kennel position and are fostered along and supported by other hospital staff as their level of knowledge advances. I cannot imagine working anywhere that supports people blindly. Just having made and posted this film will help to undermine people's confidence in veterinary medicine. Very unprofessional

If the kennel assistant was so smart, he would tell this technician to go fuck herself and run as quick as he can to get the doctor!

LMAO I'm a Kennel assistant and we hav a tech like this at the clinic. Every time I hold for her she says i'm doing it wrong and then stabs the dog 5 or 6 times to get a blood draw and still can't get it because shes not even poking the right spot!

I have never run into techs like this, but it seems to be VERY common with the upper level vet students I have dealt with.

OMG i knew one tech like this, no one would fire her. finally she left on her own cause the rest of us VT refused to work with her.

I have seen techs like this esp. CVT's. I also agree kennel staff is precious and usually underappreciated but not by me.
