  • Things like this prove to me why there are so many denominations. We are not one in mind. It is sad and unfortunate.

  • I agree its sad, but do you think we should compromise on the Trinity to support unification?

  • @firebirdhome I don't think you give me or people enough credit. We are not here on earth to be dictated to by denominations, we are here to learn of and from God, by reading His word. In that respect, I am doing a good thing because A. I am challenging traditions and teachings of men that are based on the Bible and B. I am honestly searching for the truth, no matter what that may be. If the truth God shows me doesn't jibe with man's traditions and denominational doctrines, so be it.

  • @apologeticsman - what you have said may confuse people. Jesus was the total and Final revelation of God to mankind. The complete. Adding to your list of "Father" he stated that to believe Him was believing the Father. Remember he always stated 'My Father' on many many occasions as well as His prayer TO the Father calling Him "Heavenly Father", showing he was not on earth, thus a separate Person in Heaven.

  • I agree, yet at the same time the trinity is still one. Yet God had the ability to take form (man wrestled with Samuel, burning bush, God ate, walked with Adam in the garden) he was able to give his spirit (to Saul, etc.).

  • "God is out of this universe and beyond our comprehension. Although, the bible teaches there is one God in 3 persons working through the spirit, son and the father. We will not know until we die. But neglecting one of those aspects of God is neglecting all. So we must be careful on to focus on all 3 entities of God equally"

    Amen, than you!

  • it is this sort of conversation that glorifies God. The ability to question man's doctrines is why I am here. I may have been a little vague on my video, but had I outlined everything perfectly in 10 minutes, we would not have as much to talk about. The Trinity seems to be accurate, when one looks at verses that describe Father, Son and Holy Spirit as separate, yet when we look in the Old Testament, we see that God affirms over and over His oneness, and that there are no "others" beside Him

  • I completely agree with what you say here. I don't picture three beings in heaven either. The bottom line to me is this:

God is out of this universe and beyond our comprehension. Although, the bible teaches there is one God in 3 persons working through the spirit, son and the father. We will not know until we die. But neglecting one of those aspects of God is neglecting all. So we must be careful on to focus on all 3 entities of God equally.

  • I am glad we covered some things up more and I understand you more. I just wished you were a bit more clear in your video. There is noting wrong with putting mans words to the test through scripture, although i stand firm on the trinitarian belief. It just seems biblical to me.

  • I do believe that the father, son and spirit are 3 distinct aspects of God, but they are all part of a single solitary being that is God. It's not as if God is sitting up in heaven, having tea with two equal deities, He is literally ONE God. This is why Jews find it so hard to accept Christ, it is man's unwavering loyalty to tradition that pushes them away. I believe that God is far more vast and complex than any of us could ever understand, and that our coined words hinder the gospel

  • I don't disagree with anything you said there, although that is the point in the perfect harmony with the 3. They are all unified, 3 persons, one God. they each are equal and ONE.

  • and that is really all I was saying in my video. Just think about where you would be with God had you died believing and teaching that water baptism saved you. You would stand before God as an unregenerate sinner, because your faith would have been in baptism and in man, rather than in Jesus alone. This is why I am making this and other videos, to get people out of their comfort zones, and get them studying God's word. If in the end, they find that the traditional Trinity is Biblical, then amen
