@gumpshrimp That actually makes sense. There are buildings shorter then 10 stories where they only have to evacuate areas of a fire in the event of one. Like when someone pulled the fire alarm in Matt Mahers room. Someone announced the alarm originated from the ground floor and the basement, 1rst and second floors had to evacuate and the rest of the hotel had to be on stand by. But turned out it was only a false alarm. I think all high rises should have voice evac systems. I think many do.

The mesage is recordable, so the tech who built the system recorded the mesage. fire code states verbage, that is why they all sound simular.

Your looking at an elevator lobby, so after the fire doors close it is a relativly small space, so if you want it in the room (fire code) it needs to be close.

four floors is random.. why not outside?
and dont you think we would notice that he is repeating himself even if he didnt say "REPEAT"

4 floors is due to it being a highrise not a building less than 10 stories tall. if you dumped the entire building at once no one would get out. this building is 23 stories.
