Alpacas - he put his nose on my lens

Alpacas are cute and curious animals. We also learned that the shearer grinds those teeth down and that the males have sharp fighting teeth - a couple of these guys had missing ear parts. Did you know they don't have top teeth???

They are about a third of the size of a llama. The owner farmer did say that they would definitely injure a coyote - wicked hooves. Another person there mentioned that he just recently bought llamas for protection and he lives in an area with cougars and coyotes.

Alpaca, like llama, only smaller. They are big, fat animals until shorn, then there cute and little.
