I rather you used the hub cap wheels because it gives it a classical look and you don't open the hood like that. All you are doing is just costomizing it into a race car.

Looks great! Did you have any trouble realigning the body after removing it? I'm about to start my own restoration but the advice I've read says not to remove the body from the frame or you'll play hell realigning it.

place body panels and doors on loosely with the nuts or held in place with bracket clips of somekind, then line up body lines in panels best you can and do alot of tweeking to get things in line doors are ajustable once on of course but sometimes body panels where never spot on when new , also depends if original panels are being used or if using new ones tighten any bolts but dont fasten anything permanant untill you are happy with the fitting. hope that helps.
