In this video i'm explaining how to use various types of electrical testing devices and the basic functions of them. As with anything electrical, a great deal of safety is involved, and if you do not know the safety rules / guidelines involved in electrical/electronic work you should not attempt to anything electrical without learning them. this video is for educational purposes. (I am a licensed electrician) also sorry about the macro setting i forgot to turn it back off lol!!! thanks for watching

  • @925dude its on list! for example (wiring 3 way light circuits, receptacles, light switches, and possibly breaker box wiring, stuff like that) and also would like to go into more detail on running wire and planning. Reason i'm doing "off subject" videos right now is i'm not at my garage this time of year, but i will be soon. can't guarantee when i'll get started on these electrical videos, but i will!!!

  • @fnaguitarplayer9 YES, like "building or home electrical" wiring CODE.

or something helpful to all DIYers.

  • @925dude haha well it actually gave me a idea for a video to make at some point. hahaha i hear ya. later

  • @fnaguitarplayer9 lol...i knew there had to be a reason...its all good just givin u a hard time.

take care n keep up the good work. PEACE.

  • @fnaguitarplayer9 with ground up all the time anyways. but it is a pain to use these testers on haha i just remember that 2 yellows is good to go haha thanks for watching!!!

  • @925dude thanks. glad to help out! well that actually brings up a good point. Used to be the standard to install "ground down" but the national electric code is trying to make it a new recquirement to install them ground up, like in this video. reasoning is that if your holding say a piece of wire, and you were to fall towards a receptalce, then if the wire is going to go in one of the slots, it would go in the ground first before the hot. sounds crazy to me, but hey i install them like that...

  • great video it helped alot, keep up the good work.

p.s. your "electrical outlet" is upside down...=)

  • @Ulleval73 thank you very much! I do plan to do alot more electrical and mechanical how to videos, i'm always working on something! thanks again! and thanks for watching!

  • Great video. Very practical, matter-of-fact instruction style that makes a lot of sense. You're on to something here....go right ahead and make other tech-based instructional videos explaining things; you're very good.

  • @nanannyse no problem. thanks for watching!
