  • Hey superking613 continued, It is obvious you can't judge people. I've been through more shit in the army and as a firefighter, this is a walk in the park.

  • Hey superking613, I did the the WHOLE trail in '88' when it was much harder. There wasn't the great support hikers get now from towns people, trail magic, trail maintenance as well as info. When I did it only 1100 people tried it and about 110 finshed. Thats ten percent. Today people completeing it is around 20-25 percent. Meaning with advanced equipment, more amenities and trail reroutes using switch backs to make the big climbs, allows for it the be much easier. My guess is you are a wannabe.

  • I will be starting 3/8/11

  • I'm thinking of planning a trek this summer. Any suggestions, hints, tips, or tricks that I should be aware of? Thanks!

  • @SuperKing613 I think you're the little bitch just by the looks of your name. Is that your World of Warcraft login?

Maybe I'll so you on the trail rainbowat2011. I'll be starting 3/1/2011

  • Great idea to buy the bulk dehydrated food to create custom meals. Thanks for the tip!

  • Looks like you have a big home, and a lot of responsiblity in your life. I mention this because I'm trying to figure out how I too can leave for 7 months. So, I guess wifey is OK with trip and can carry the load while you're gone? Lucky guy. By the time I can go, I'll probably be too old to enjoy a long distance hike... :(

  • I think this guy has hiked the trail b4, in 88 maybe? He knows what works for him. He probably just wants to get off the trial and grab and go from the post office, rather than waste money in town.

  • You really only need 3 mail drops.. ! There are grocery stores everywhere with WAY better food than that stuff...
