Authoritarian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down earlier today, the culmination of weeks of protests that spanned the Egyptian nation. At 3:00pm, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, plans to address his country and the world about the situation.

    The "typewriter pounding away in the background" is cameras taking images fairly quickly. You can't be sure you'll get a good pic, so you take lots and choose the best.

  • PRESENT Egyptian army generals are cowards, they looted the ordinary Egyptians too.Therefore the young army officers should stage a coup and take over,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,­,,,,,,and hand over the power to the elected representative of the country.

  • What is that, a typewriter pounding away in the background? The noise was so distracting. I wonder why they would still use an old fashioned typewriter at the white house.
