Massachusetts Attorney General's office and State Police have attempted to block this video from being posted on the internet with the threat of felony charges.

The "nanny cam" video shows the state police making an illegal arrest of Paul Pechonis and a search of his home.

See http://www.conte2006.com/ for updated details.

A cease and desist letter with 48 hours notification was issued by Massachusetts State Police, Deputy legal Counsel Ms. Ann McCarthy on February 14, 2006. The letter claims under an organized crime statute MASS. GEN. L. ch. 272 § 99 that the display of the video is punishable as a felony.

The Conte2006.com web site was ordered to stop the display of a video which captured Worcester District Attorney John J. Conte's Auburn State police C-Pac unit arresting Paul Pechonis under a misdemeanor warrant for threats to commit a crime (murder) some 30 days after a poster was discovered in Westborough District Court.

The web site filed in US District Court for a Temporary restraining order, which was granted, thus allowing the video to remain on the web site peding a final hearing.

  • @angrynhpatriot No, you dont understand. The suspect is a violent fugitive under the arrest warrant. The arrest was made in his residence and a complete search is granted under that arrest warrent. That doesnt mean a complete seizure is granted as well. Only weapons and ammunition were admissible under this judges signature.

  • Nothing unlawful was done here. This guy threatened an judge and another elected official over the internet. The arrest warrant being grants the police limited entry as long as the suspect is beleived to be inside. The search is covered by the warrant as a seizure of weapons. If they would have found drugs or stolen property, they would have to come back with a warrant for that particular thing.

  • @curtmastor no...you just miss understood what i said...they can search the house for the suspect...thats it....it dosent mean they can rifle through everything in the house.

  • @angrynhpatriot Wrong. An arrest warant grants police limited home entry if it is beleived the suspect is in the dwelling. It does not grant a complete search warrant but does enable any and all means to enter the home if confirmed the wanted person is inside.

  • @bonuskill Your wife is a whore.

  • AT LEAST THEY READ YOU YOUR RIGHTS ALTHOUGH I AGREE THAT DOESN'T GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO SEARCH UNLESS THEY HAVE A SEARCH WARRANT wATCH MINE ON YOU TUBE: FALSE ARREST DAWSON COUNTY NEBRASKA 4 SCENES THESE COPS WERE AT LEAST COURTIOUS ONCE AGAIN THANK-GOD 4 CAMERAS INSIDE AND OUT

  • an arrest warrant does not warrant a house search....plus they have no exigent circumstance....the guy should have gone on his porch and denied entry...to search the house they need a search warrant... and exigent is only for the safety of someone or to save evidence.....this is illegal

  • Trooper John R McNeil, 90 7Star Rd, Groveland Ma01834, (978)521-8945, husband of Susan McNeil, strikes handcuffed defenseless detainees in the head with his open palm until their body convulses. Then he charges the detainee with assault and battery. In his police report he states 'the victim was emotional and his legs were flailing'. John, you made your bed, now sleep in it!

  • Massachusetts is one of the most corrupt states out there. Almost as bad as Louisiana. This does not surprise me at all. I live 10 minutes from MA just over the boarder in NH and have lived in Louisiana as well. These are not police. They are pigs and deserve to be called pigs.
