Okay, so I've ridden this horse...three times? Including the time in this video. The time I had ridden him before this was a couple of months ago so...yeah. :) I know my cantering fails, and I epically fail at one particularly part of the video but please bare with me. I am improving, and I know I have a lot to learn and do before I become a better rider. So please, no stupid or rude comments. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcomed though.
Just so you know, I have cantered many times before this. This is just my first canter ON THIS HORSE. XD who according to my friend was very hard to get to walk/trot/canter but for some reason I didn' t have that much trouble getting him moving. :P

  • ive been on horse 2times tom is my 3 lesson ive learned to lope and not bounce but im scared to canter errrr meh scared

should i be scared????? SOMEONE REPLY CUZ ITS TOM OR SUN. PLZZZ

  • @jessicalove2246 Nah it's not scary, it's kind of fun. :) But if it is scary to you then you should probably tell your instructor about it; they need to know what you're comfortable with or not. It can be dangerous if you do things you aren't sure of/are scared to do.

  • Dont be scared of cantering it is so fun and a great experience on a horse..i take lessons i have for 2 years and i love it and i canter all the time..

  • @wildstallionstudios lol that last sentence didn't sound right. I meant you and your horse have a good lope! Just to keep that in mind

  • Yah that's a lope :) cantering, you go smooth, you should sit on the saddle, don't bounce to much. And a canter is much faster in western.

Its hard to find good devoted western riders around youtube that prefer western over english or only ride english.

Anyway, you performed a good lope :)

  • @spagssmiles don't worry I won't give up western! I want english as an alternative. Plus I want to teach horse back riding when I get older and I need to know both.

To add, western: sit down and do not bounce on saddle english: bounce up and down to horse's rhythm western: havin fun english: worrying about posture

    Western gal forevah!

  • @wildstallionstudios ugh. dont switch to english. english is for people who cant handle western. western is extremly hard but alot funner that english. western= hard but fun

english= easy but really boring. western= broken bones english= broken finger nail. pick wisly. :)

  • so i see u ride wester. good. i ride western to. but just dont call a lope a canter. canter is the english term for lope. other than that, you and ur horse have a beautiful LOPE! haha if u need more tips just ask me. :)

  • I am riding western and want to learn English. Which area of English should I try first? Jumping or dressage?

  • @horsebonanza i did it and it was so much fun!!
