Podiatrists are nutso-buttso. Mine told me that I had an ingrown toenail because I was probably cutting my nail too short or too much on a curve, BUT what really happened is that after I ripped off my hangnail, it started growing back into my skin and got infected. Every day I have to push it back under the nail with a thin file and keep the surrounding tissue soft with lotion.
