IT "guys" are the only folks slamming the overall cloud concept. Try talking to those using it and you usually get very satisfied customers. It's cheaper, it's free from crashes, it can be as secure as you want it, and it's damn fast.

Amazon isn't the only one out there. 4Service Managed Cloud Computing offers a private-managed cloud service, no shared apps or contracts that can be manipulated at will like Amazon offers. If I need service, can I really expect Amazon to respond? Previous experience says fat chance.
