I do not understand why certain outspoken, self-appointed "leaders" of the black community wish to deride the Jews and attempt to appropriate their history and identity. Certainly, we all can agree that slavery devastated the black community in every entity. However, I believe blacks who have a racial lineage to Africa have a history and religion that is exclusively their own. I know of a white history professor that teaches African history.

"Brother Khalid takes us for a ride" is a very apt description of this bigoted garbage. A few points:
1. Recent genetic tests have rebuked Koestler's theories of Khazar origins of Ashkenazi Jews.
2. It is extensively documented that Jews were present in Europe well before the destruction of Khazar kingdom by prince Oleg;
3. Ashkenazi Jews are a minority in Israel. Majority are Sephardim (from Spain via N. Africa), with the rest being Mizrahim (from Iraq, Yemen, etc.) and Falash Mura (Ethiopia)
