SUV Hits Kids, kills one at Maple Hill school, Diamond Bar. Clueless driver says 'sorry'.

SUV jumps curb, Hits Kids in front of Maple Hill elementary school in Diamond Bar school; climbs embankment. Clueless Driver Then gets out of car, gets His Kids Off to School, THEN turns to the carnage in his wake and says 'sorry'. Two kids and their father flown to the hospital in serious and critical condition. No names have been released and no arrests have been made.

DIAMOND BAR - A 3-year-old girl struck and injured by an SUV with her family in front of a school has died, authorities said.

Michelle Kwon, who was struck by an out-of-control Nissan Pathfinder along with her 5-year-old sister and father Wednesday, died from her injuries Thursday afternoon, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. John Saleeby.

The injured father was identified as 43-year-old Soonil Kwon, he said.

The driver of the SUV was a 68-year-old man, Saleeby said.

While the investigation remains ongoing, the driver of the Nissan has not been cited or arrested, and was not suspected Friday of committing any crime, Saleeby said.

i go to the middle school right next to maple hill (chaparral) and i was having p.e. and like..there were 7 helicopters..it was a huge mess..my dad saw the entire thing cuz he was droping off mmy siblings..and the two kids who got hurt were all in my sisters and brotheres class.

My daughter goes to this school & I drop her off exactly where this accident happened. However, she wasn't feeling well that morning so I did not take her to school. My prayers go out to the family of the little girl that died.
