Every single word carries its own tremendous passion - Phenomenal singer
The greatest non-operatic singer of the 20th century
-
@phortion it's called AGEING
-
now picture her coming out at this age on Idol today and doing this baby, they'd end the show on the spot and crown the winner
-
Gorgeous. One of my favorite vocalists of all time. Her voice is so amazing
-
As I like to say: Moses only got to see God "live" once . . . I've seen HER 5 times. When she sings, it's what God sounds like.
-
I've been watching it for years now and I still can't believe how flawless this performance is. This is just perfect.
-
God...we are so lucky to be living in the times that such a creatures with such an incredible talent exists.
-
my favorites singer of all time...
-
Why doesn't she sing and move like this any more?
-
This was sung over forty years ago and it's fresh as a frigging daisy today.

God indeed has created perfection within each of us, although most never discover or achieve it. Any great human act that is able to bring one repeatedly to tears is surely an example of God's perfection. Listening to Barbra's voice reveals a gift so consistently extraordinary as to not always seem humanly possible. Hearing her sing is what it must be like to actually hear God. How lucky that we have lived in a time where her performances have been recorded for generations to enjoy.

i love this.
but she can still sing amazingly! not as good control, but she sounds more mature or something like that...
the first song i heard of hers is somewhere and i wanted to see what she sounded like now, and i thought she wasn't good anymore...but i kept on listening to her newer stuff and i think in ways i think she's even better now than she was in her youth in my opinion. She hasn't lost her voice...she wouldn't still be singing if she knew she had lost it.

Perfect.

fabulous post !!! I was priviledged to see her at The Palace of Auburn Hills in 1994 ( Barbra the Concert) Jackie Onasssis passed away that day; Streisand dedicated the concert to her.....she was flawless !!!!!
-
@dirtyblondny Her early 70's, or the decade lol!
-
@carlymichelle1234 You sum it up beautifully!
-
@dirtyblondny Her singing was always a little gimmicky, but what singer doesn't rely on cheats to continue to sing in old age. Even opera singers with the most perfect vocal techniques use cheats after a certain point because age is a reality, deal.
-
@dirtyblondny We are all entitled to our opinions and I do not think the voice has 'gone' at all. Just changed. Bit like anything else , as it ages it mellows. Peace.
-
@ashifo07 She sang a song about staying to long at the fair. Enough said. There are a lot of bad singers today, Times and tastes change. Doesn't make it bad or good. It just is. If you read my first message i said "that" voice is gone. And that's a fact.
-
@FoggyRoad81 Idiot, ignorant. Nice choice of words. When she sings now she cheats and uses gimmicks. Get over it man. She ain't got it. Sorry to burst your bubble. I'll still listen to her albums up to the early 70's.
Her voice is flawless.
She has the most effortless voice.
It's like soo amazing to witness.
Everytime I watch her I am constantly in awe.

I've always heard of Barbra Streisand, growing up, knowing she was an entertainer. I heard a few of her records, and seen in her Meet The Fockers, but this ...subtle brilliance! I can't stop watching, simply breathtaking, with a voice like that I think she would have to consider herself foremost a singer - it's one of the most unique, powerful and beautiful voices in recorded history. I'm going to have start my new obsessionon 'hello gorgeous'.
