Man Dies After Apparent Police Tasering
SOUTH MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) ― Police in South Miami-Dade are trying to unravel an apparent incident between police officers and a man wandering through a South Dade neighborhood which left the man dead of what witnesses claim was a tasering by officers. Police have yet to confirm that claim.
The apparent confrontation happened in the area of SW 107th Avenue and SW 146th Terrace early Friday morning.
A Miami-Dade police spokesman said a man identified as 45-year-old Kenneth Oilver was reported by residents to be wandering through the neighborhood about 2 a.m., knocking on doors.
Police were called, and after deciding he had an apparent medical issue, the decision was made to have him committed for observation and they attempted to take him into custody.
Details are less clear at this point. A police spokesman said a call was made to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to have the man taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital South after he suffered 'some sort of medical problem'.
Police say the man died after he arrived at JMH.
Officers would not confirm that the man may have been tasered by police, and would say only that both a homicide and an internal affairs investigation have been started.
Residents say the man did not live in the area.

What gives a man his value is his integrity, knowing he is genuine, not fake. I can clearly understand why a man would behave in illusive corrupt disrespectful behavior; without any honor to anything he pledges to; without integrity to who he is as a man; it means the guy has no self value. When a man has no self value, he is constantly desperately frustrated, trying to fill this through an insecure arrogant empty pride. Why be a fool with no value or honor? Why be fake & not honor your pledge?

I go to court and the judge actually believes these charges... No lawyer will take my case because there is no money in it, nor do they want to stand up for what is correct. People are so impotent to do whats right in Miami!!! If I report a complaint it will most likely be covered up... So I was innocently pulled over, pointed at taser point, taken out my car to be placed in danger; ALL after seeing my license and medical IDs... Where is integrity, honor, genuine career, the oath you pledged to?

@aikicop1 of course the coroner would never write his report to corroborate a police report. because he's just a neutral fact finder, not employed by the same municipality as the police......chalk this one up to "excited delirium" or some other euphemistic term that removes liability from the city and the weapon manufacturer and we can do it again tomorrow!

You can't tazer some one to death.... you can not keep pulling the trigger. After the first pull of the trigger it will go of for 5 seconds and then reset after for I think 5 to 10 seconds then you can pull again....it sounds it he was on something that had his heart rate very high..... the tazzer has a lot of volts but no amps and amps are what kills you
