Tori Amos performs Hey Jupiter on Strange Little Webcast on October 12, 2001.
She forgets the verse and has to check it in a book, funny stuff :)

  • I also loved the whole "we aren't gonna start from the beginning b/c my dinner's waiting"....that's class.

  • that's great....Tori is quite cute there. Love the close up at 'whoops'.

  • I love this one so much!! "I should probably have some glasses" :) and then the improvised bit...

  • This is the best version of Hey Jupiter ever. Why it took me so long to figure this out is a mystery to me!

  • i love her smile when she messed up

    lol "...amusing for the crew"

  • I wish i was that bench.

  • i'm kinda sad she messed up. this performance of hey jupiter is one of her best.

  • This was one of the first songs I heard from her. Still love it after all these years. She IS a cute performer, ain't she? ^_^ Handling shitty moments with such finesse. =) She has character.

  • Not necessarily, it's a webcast so it could have just been recorded to be revealed on the internet... I don't think webcasts usually have an audience, they're mostly used to attract people to a website with their guest - the guest being tori.

  • Based simply on the fact that we didn't hear an audience responce, I'd say yes. Although if it were an actual performance, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

  • The lyrics are actually "thought I knew mySELF so well".... She was just improvising with the "words" bit.

  • I love Tori and this is one of my favorite songs by her.I just couldn't resist a comment. She lost her spot at oldly enough at 'thought i knew my words so well' as odd as when i read the ripley's believe it or not about the moth getting slammed to death in a book right at the end of a sentence that said 'then he layed still.' ......hungry how bout a snickers! lol
