Due to countless complaints from the preversion of this video.
I've taken the liberty of updating it.
Differences
-Asis Galvin doesnt talk through the whole thing
-The visuals are better
-It's mixed better
-Much more of a pleasure to listen to
*Note*
Out of respect for Asis Galvin and his work, I only have him talking about his other pieces of music at the beginning of the video.
Think of it as setting the stage for the song itself :)

  • This is not inspired by samurai champloo. I'd rather bet on the fact that it was inspired more by shaolin soccer. I mean Huey even does the same jumping spinning kick as the guy in the original movie.

Seriously, youtube the ending scene of shaolin soccer.

  • @soultakerxx Yea it was. It was inspired by both. Its the samurai champloo episode called Baseball Blues or sumthin. We Huey got angry and attacked people with the kick balls is similar to when Mugen got angry and started pitchin really hard in an attempt to knock out the other team members. Also a whole bunch of other stuff was taken as well from that Samurai Champloo episode.

  • @moesamuri Perhaps it is, perhaps it isn't. I don't know man. All I can say is that, personally, I don't think it was inspired by some obscure Japanese cartoon. To me, it'd make more sense if it was inspired by the movie, not that one particular episode of an anime. And in case you're wondering, yes, I did watch the anime.

I just think there may have been some commonalities because of the similar style of the cartoons and the game they're playing.

  • @soultakerxx No it is. really lol. Arron McGrudder, the creator of the show was highly inspired by Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop (for the fights scenes especially) to make the show. Watch the episode of Samurai Champloo called: Baseball Blues and you'll see what I mean :) But the only thing used from Shaolin Soccor was when Huey kicked a fire ball at Ming and tried to catch it with the sleeves burning away. Other than that one scene the rest was off of Samurai Champloo.

  • @moesamuri I'm sure Samurai Champloo was inspired by Shaolin Soccer, so we're splitting hairs here.

  • @soultakerxx Aaron Mcgruder is a huge fan of anime on the contrary.... hence the animation style lol
