Why was Javier being nice to Maria in Columbia while his people (those two guys in the hotel) were being so mean to Maria and the other mules? (Also recall the last scene in the movie when she encountered those guys again)

@springdale122583 generalizing, that's what's up...generalizing drugs is your first problem, generalizing 'drug dealers' instead of the individuals that get me my leafy greens, a lot of them are really cool people, some jst trying to earn a living any way they know how. I'm not talking about these poppy field farmers. It's a cultural norm to do that shit, unfortunately. It's a culture of violence much like in America so I wouldn't blame the drugs in this case my dear.
