PZ Myers destroys Simmons in evolution debate 5of5

PZ Myers completely eviscerates his opposition Geoffrey Simmons in this classic debate. This Simmonds guy clearly knows bugger all regarding evolution but writes books about it. Can we expect anything else from the Discovery Institute? I suggest that the DI send the fitness guru Richard Simmonds next time. Make sure you check out the classic bait and switch just prior to the debate which results in Simmonds not having to present any positive evidence for Intelligent Design. Simmons is making the typical mistake that a person of religion makes. He thinks unless an idea or fact comes from an authority figure, it doesn't deserve a serious look. It doesn't matter at all if Darwin got his theory right or wrong. What matters is that the evidence we have collected since Darwin's time, and what we have learnt since then. Theory of evolution could have been made by Charlie Chaplin, it doesn't matter who came up with the idea, what matters is if that idea has any truth.

Btw for all of the commentators here arguing that evolutionists have falsified evidences and finds throughout the history to prove their claims -

YES, of course there HAVE been scientists who went along and made up stuff for their 15 minutes of fame, BUT SO DID THE CREATIONISTS!!!

However as the time went on and more fossils were discovered, the proof turned out to be that the evolution was the right answer.

Even without Darvin, somebody would have noticed this sooner or later.
