Track name: Player
Track Number: 1
Album: Solid State Society OST
Vocals: Origa with Heartsdales
Composer: Yoko Kanno
Note(s): Opening song for the SSS movie

Lyrics w/ Translation:

(Quietly swimming in the stardust
The celestial searchlights
Shattering my wings
The steel blade of a knife)

(How many times have I died in an attack
And was once again reborn
My imperishable soul)

(I play again without the rules
And call upon myself
The fire, the fire)

(And that is all I know
I do not seek another role)

(Today I am just a player
I do not regret anything)

(Quietly swimming in the stardust
The celestial searchlights)

  • @chtadow13 DBZ was always screwed the plot and lore is weak and is not comparable to ghost in a shell... sorry in advance to all the DBZ fans but it is true.

  • @blahargh789 What is this you speak of?

  • Seriously, i love the mix between Yoko Kanno and Origa.

    IT'S PERFECT!

  • @Misteremg well, be fair to dbz. It's for a much younger audience than GiTS. For one thing, GiTS makes a heckuva lot more sense after you've read catcher in the rye. Also, it's infinitely more intriguing to watch if you've got a good sense of geopolitics.

Also, thought, how are guns (please dont ban me youtube) represented in Japanese culture? It occurs to me now that the fact that they're packing firearms is actually at odds with Japan's culture today. Someone feel free to PM me about it.

  • DAT INTRO...

  • @Misteremg Aimed at different age groups. Kids like DBZ, I liked DBZ when I was younger too. As an adult, yes, Ghost in the Shell is so much better in terms of everything and anything.

  • i love origa and yoko's work they make great songs

  • cool

  • @Misteremg It made up for it with amazing characters and abilities. I think it's perfect. Not as good as this anime but still fucking awesome. My childhood made me right this comment.

  • @Delrium12 - are you sure it's Russian? lol. Just kidding. But there are other Cyrillic alphabet languages. It is funny that they are in Japan but have such Russian ties.

  • @Suzisuicide that is almost every Shonen show. That is what is known as the Shonen power creep.

  • @AbridgedPenguin they said they wouldn't make another one unless the fans asked for it and not enough people asked for another one so nothing atm
