This is the video of Jupiter as seen by a webcam coupled to the focuser of a telescope. The same procedure on "Saturn at the telescope" video, but this time a barlow lens is in front of the webcam resulting an image twice bigger.

  • is that how it really looks?

im sorry but is that it doesnt seem real

im so confused this is how it really looks like when u look on the telescope?

  • @Antoonio21 We can see a lot more details if the frames of this video is stacked using a software like Registax. I must say also that this is a BIG telescope with a mirror around 16" diameter and focus around 2000mm . The small ccd of the camera I use to capture the movie was at the newtonian focus, that enlarges a bit the image in relation to looking through an eyepiece. It´s all true.

  • Nice telescope! I wish I knew how to make of those. If only there was someone to guide me in person..

  • @ParaglidingManiac Look for zambutomirrorgroup on Yahoo groups. Mr Zambuto is a gentle icon on mirror making and along many years has been helping and teaching amateurs like me how to make good mirrors.

  • is it a reflecting telesocpe u used

  • @ninjiss yes.
