@lancelotal every time my mom watches saving private ryan she says that to. they where with to many, it would be impossible to hide behind metal shields with about 10 soldiers when you have more then 5000 landing 1 beach. that would be a lot of metal plates + machine gun fire vs an metal plate-> I think you couldn't move cause of the power of the impact.
