ESL -- English as a Second Language
Every year, students from all over the world come to the United States to study in Colleges and Universities. Many come from countries where Christianity is prohibited or restricted. We have a great opportunity to influence, with our lives and testimony, the lives of some of these students. A study presented at the ESL Conference in Birmingham, Alabama, showed that only 20 out of 100 international students get to form any kind of friendship with an American. Very few of these ever get to visit an American family at their home. These students go back to their countries and become influential leaders. What message are they taking back to their people? The world is knocking at our door and we can make a difference!
Congratulations to the church board for this initiative it's a real oportunity for sharing the gospel. God bless you all.
