Yes, I use to bring sketch pads and laptops to StarBucks. :) There is a need for a balance. It's important to live for the present as well as the future. At the end of day, and well as the end of your life..whatever that day maybe. :) I hope to get the best from both.

bazillion? how many is that?? :) I am usually a "sprinter" and so this marathon is going to be challenging for me. 5 months of daily blogs? What the heck!?!?! I can do it! And WITH your support (et hem!) I will make it to 2008!

Having the two kids makes me even more aware of my mortality than I was before. However, having the two kids makes me more TIRED than I was before. LOL So that makes it harder to go for my dreams. :D It is a wonderful (and hopefully temporary - while they're infants) catch 22. But the more we are aware that we are all temporary on this earth, the more we can take advantage of the days given to us.
Thank you for spending your thirty minutes each day multitasking to put these up!

I bet it's harder with kids. I have a lot of respect for people who continue to pursue HAPPINESS after they have children. So many people give up and conceed to the idea that "life is hard" and that's that. I have a lot of respect for it because it's HARD AS HELL!

I'm really sorry to hear of such a tragic event. Very sobering indeed. I'm like that too. We don't have forever. I don't have time to be around people who think they have all the time in the world. They want to watch gurls all day at Starbucks. Then what time is left for making your visions happen?

Maybe you could do both? hehe I know what you mean though... some people just don't get it. At the end of their lives, they will be the ones filled with regrets. On the other hand, we will be smiling knowing that we did everything we could to take advantage of this experience called "life". I like the quote, "I'm a spirit have a HUMAN experience". So true.
