Katie Couric was quoted that her most memorable interview was two days after the Columbine shooting with survivor Craig Scott and father to slain Isaiah Shoels. Katie had Craig on her last appearance on the Today Show along with other of her most memorable interviews.

  • the saddest video I have ever seen. The look on Mr Shoels face is so heartbreaking.

  • I give Craig a lot of respect because he is trying to do something about what caused this shooting and convince people to not be mean to anyone else and he understands if you came from a family who was not a close bonded family plus your bullied and feel everyone hates you, how you can go down a terrible path of violence. He is not sitting on his rump cursing out Eric and Dylan and spreading more bullying unlike other families and peeps, he learned from this and is educating people. He is great

  • Klebold parent deny any responsibility - after sons broke into van, worte paper about murder. etc

  • Ugh made me tear up :(

  • @thisphotoisproof Yes that is the them from the movie World Trade Center.

  • Craig'd uncle came into our school today and talked with us. I can't even begin to tell you how much it affected me. It, to be honest, was a life changing day today.

  • wow. just wow. how moving and emotional. you can feel the love and respect these two (former) strangers have for each other. just imagine watching a fellow classmate/friend just get shot right in front of you and you pretending to be dead in his blood then having to see his father a few days after. i know it has been 11 years but my heart goes out to anyone who lost someone or was injured during the heinous attack on columbine.

  • What a humble, compassionate young man.

  • @BassAssassin9 I don't think you can compare which situation is worse. Each situation is traggic and every person handles it differently. Mr. Shoels will always remember seeing his son taking his first steps as a baby, doing funny things that babies do, etc. Each death just cannot be compared....

  • @deagleandemfizzle You are lucky he came to your school. A few weeks ago I watched documentaries on here & news clips from the past. One of them was about where the survivors were now & it showed Craig in a school doing these talks about it. I saw a news clip & it had Isaiah Shoels father mourning in Isaiah's bedroom. Feels like it happened like last week. Crazy how people from the future may look at this, Waco Siege 9/11, 7/7 etc without much feeling as they didn't live through it but we did.

  • i met craig today. he came to my school and talked about rachels challenge. i cried like a baby. he completely changed my life:)

  • is that the world trade center theme playing?
