In Honor Of Street Fighter 4 - Jax vs Baraka

Honoring Street Fighter 4, I bring you a series of epic battles from past Capcom titles
and other games influenced by Street Fighter. This is "Mortal Kombat 2" (1993, Midway), one of the greatest fighting games ever released. If "Street Fighter 2" revolutionized the fighting genre, "Mortal Kombat 2" mutilated it into a primal, demonic animal. This is
basically the Pepsi to Capcom's Coke, the WCW to WWF in the Monday Night Wars, what Tekken is to Virtua Fighter....you get what I mean.
While Street Fighter 2 remained cartoony, colorful, and more family friendly, Midway gave parents a reason to hate video games. Mortal Kombat 2 had so much
gore and over-the-top violence which forced the ESRB rating into existence.
This epic sequel had more graphic fatalities and blood than the first installment,
and is without a doubt Midway's greatest achievement.

Yes, but the SNES versions were handled by Acclaim.

i luv umk3 i think its great especially on xbox. but mk is so fun the game that made me intrested in fighting games as a younger child.

MK2 is by far the best mk game ever made i still play it on snes

MK2 is still tight even today. I like the MK series just as much as I like SF.
