The next day Corey gave me a ride to school again. Tonight I would have my date with Kyle and tomorrow is the camping trip! Im really excited for both because they both seem like they will be a lot of fun. Corey and I talked about random things on our drive. I knew I should mention my date tonight before he made any more surprises for me.

I hope you didnt make plans for us to hang out tonight. I said with a slight awkwardness.
Maybe I did, maybe I didnt. Whats it to you? He asked as he squinted his eyes looking at me.
Well Im busy tonight. I said quickly and quietly back hoping he would drop it.
Oh? What are you doing? He asked getting suspicious.
Nothing Im just going out to dinner with someone. I said back nonchalantly.
Oh? He said again. Do I know this someone? He asked after a silent moment.
Um yea you know him pretty well actually. I said with a timid tone.
And what is his name? He asked questioningly.
Kyle. I simply answered.
Kyle, as in my friend Kyle? He asked and I noticed his grip tighten around the steering wheel.
Thats the one. I now said as I fidgeted with the radio. It was all commercials, great!
Oh. That was all he said. The rest of the ride we shared an awkward silence and when we finally got to school we didnt stick together and chat like usual but instead we went our separate ways.

Luckily I didnt have lunch with him today. Im sure some of my new friends, Coreys friends, were at the lunch but I hadnt talked to my old friends in a few days. I searched the cafe until I saw my best friend Abigail. I waltzed over to her and sat next to her.

Oh my gosh! It feels like we havent seen each other in years! I squealed as I hugged her, but to my surprise she wasnt hugging back.
Yea I know you hang with the seniors now. She responded coldly.
Abi Im sorry! Its only been a few days but I have so much to tell you. I said trying to remain cheerful.
Tell it to your seniors. She said in the same cold tone as before. With that she got up and left the table. It didnt take long for my seniors as Abi called them to see me and call me over. It was Tommy and Hailey at a table with some other people I have talked to but am less close to. As excited as I was for the date with Kyle I didnt want the lunch to get awkward so I was glad he wasnt there.

Taylor! Hailey called a second time getting me out of my trance. I got up and walked to their table.
Hailey! I said fakingly cheerful as I hugged her. Dont get me wrong she is probably my new best friend of all the seniors besides Corey but I was still upset over Abi.
Tommy! Tommy yelled and Hailey and I just shot him a your crazy look. What she said Taylor you said Hailey and now I felt all left out. He said putting on a fake pout. I rushed to his side and hugged him.
TOMMY! I yelled in his ear causing him to shove me back.
Okay Im fine with being left out! He said with a smile. I think Im def now! He said.
Aw poor Tommy I hope you survive! I said taking a seat next to Hailey and across from Tommy.
I will if you say youre coming tonight. He said as he picked up one of his French fries.
Whats tonight? I asked looking at him confused.
Pizza Thursday! Every Thursday we all get together and go to the pizza place and pig out and play arcades its an awesome tradition! He said clearly excited.
Oh Im sorry I cant I already have dinner plans. I said as I sipped my water.
With who? Clearly no one important because everyone important is at pizza Thursday! He responded with a smile.
Well you will be two people short. I began before he began choking on his fries.
Corey asked you out?! He asked in between coughs.
No Kyle. I responded sheepishly.
I thought he hates you? He asked surprised.
No he was just I dont know playing around. I said back. By this time he finally stopped choking.
Well then have fun on your date. Tommy said back coldly. Within seconds he finished his lunch and stood up.
Where you going? I asked confused.
Library. I didnt finish all my homework catch you later. He said grabbing his stuff and walking off. Wow Im messing up all my friendships lately arent I?
Did I do something wrong? I asked Hailey in despair.
No sometimes Tommy gets touchy. He enjoys traditions and hates when people break them. She said back comforting me. Just then the bell rang and I was off to my last class.

I couldnt concentrate the rest of the day. I had so many people to work things out with. I didnt know who to start with. So when the last bell of the day rang I sent my first attempt to mend one relationship. I typed into my cell phone *Can We Talk?* now I just wait for the respond.
