i know nothing about music, but i love it. this is so very beautiful
-
Absolutely, and it would give the music a much warmer sound, in all it's simplicity, this has to be one of the most expressive songs of love, moreover becuase it came from the composer's heart. When he and Lady Alice married, they were committed to each other and remained so until her death in 1920.

Whenever I hear Elgar's "Salut d'Amour" I always, always think of peaceful, tranquil pastoral scenes of the beautiful green lushness of the glorious countryside of England. I am lucky to live right in the middle of it here in Herefordshire.
