We're all complaining because Shane has the acting abilities of a door knob. In one episode Five has pissed all over the name of Minder because they got lazy and gave the gig to Shane "I can play a chirpy little cockney no probs as I was in eastenders" Ritchie. WRONG CHOICE, its that simple.

I don't know why you're all complaining about Shane being in the new Minder.Shane is not replaceing George Cole, He is playing Arther Daley's nephew, Archie Daley, meening Shane can do all he wants with the character.Don't think of it as Minder, Think of it as a spin-off.

Caught the first episode and a single word can sum it up:- WANK! It might have had a fighting chance if Shane Ritchie wasnt in it. Why the hell did 5 choose him? He's awful and his "acting" is abysmal. I can understand them using the Daley name to a degree but "Archie" Daley?? Man that reeks of laziness! Simply put ITV4 on and watch the originals and forget this mess Five have made.

I actually quite enjoyed it. It has lots of elements of Minder in it, i hope the series does well.

Give it a chance - watch it before passing judgement!! Stop thinking George Cole/Arthur and Terry - start thinking Shane Richie and Lex Shrapnel and THEN pass judgement!
