Roadrunner Sculpture

Roadrunner sculpture located at a rest stop on Highway 10 just outside Las Cruces, NM. Interesting and majestic from the road. But on closer examination was surprised to find that the bulk of the sculpture was made up of things you might find in a landfill.

Built by Olin Calk and Dan Smith. Approx. 21' tall and 40' long. Constructed of non-degradable items from the City Landfill. Intended to draw attention to issues of waste management and re-cycling.
