@loveloai - I saw that the 2009 Amanti has 266hp, but still no good aerodynamic, so I think it won't be faster than the real 230 km/h that he's been tested by several revues in Germany. best regards, Stefan
But it's a great car, for my opinion, but in Germany they do not sell, the car is, after 2 years and 30000 miles to buy for less $16000.- what a loss of worth! In Germany the Amanti/Opirus is the most money-loosing car! (good if you want to buy one...)
@loveloai For more than 250 km/h u need at least 260 hp-and good aerodynamic, so the 2008 will do 230km/h, not more. Everything more is because of: speeding downhill, or strong wind from behind or "lying" speedometer (any speedometer does..). My C5 Carlsson with 270 hp and good aerodynamic does Vmax 260km/h (GPS-speed gauge)
i drive and have one here in USA 2008 3.8 l i clock in GPS 145 mph in this car ! is very fast for only $15,000

I just got my new kia opirus 2008, but I did not try the top speed yet.
I think 2008 can go for more than 250 km\h...!!
I have opirus 2004 and it reach 232 km\h on 4Th gear...!!
