Yeah, the trick is that it only lasts for 1 or two frames in most cases. The really hard part though is making it line up properly. On a separate but slightly related note, I think I'll upload a copy of a lightsaber effects test I made soon,

That looked so good! Did the sound effects come with or did you have to download them separately?

Glad you liked, I acquired the sound effects from another source, though I think they were originally from the game Jedi Outcast. I've got a longer test sequence between three people in the works right now, testing out some masking techniques and some scorch marks.
