Realistic Pro-2036 Conversion Mod Help Needed

A video showing my Realistic Pro-2036 also known as Radioshack. I would appreciate any help in shedding some light on this scanner as I want to convert from UK version to USA version. At the moment my scanner starts from 66 MHz, and I want it the same as the USA version starting at 29 MHz. Many thanks to Radionut53 (Darryll) for his quick reply to my message.

For those that don't know, 29mhz is the top end of the 10metre ham band, which runs from 28mhz thru 29.7 mhz. The 29mhz portion is used extensively for FM transmissions. As for getting the 2036 to hear it, snipping a single diode will unlock 29mhz. Please don't ask which diode, i don't know and don't have the circuit diagram.

@ArneZiffel Only thing I can suggest they trying to stop the UK listening to is the analogue phone calls which is around 31 MHz and baby monitors are at 49 MHz other than that I dont think there is anything else.

so this scanner dont pick up 29 thur 50 megs huh

I noticed the scanner has A thru J as well, try those as well...

BTW , when you get a differnet set of frequencies in your channels, go thru all of them to see if a frequency between 29-54mhz is present, if so save that frequency to memory, then do a direct search from that channel.

2-9-lockout-turn on

2-9-manual-turn on

2-9-lockout-turn on

2-9-scan-turn on

2-9-program-turn on

2-9-turn on Try every button combonation that your radio has, always turn it off, and try every button by useing 2-9 everytime!  there has to be test frequencies on that thing, every scanner i had yet had those installed, it is just a hidden feature. I well keep in touch!
