  • STAKE HIM.

FOR FUCKS SAKE STAKE THE BASTARD!.

    Crawford ruined that musical.

Steve Barton should have played Von Krolock on Broadway.

The demos Steve did in English aew amazing.

  • This is just awful....Tanz der Vampire is imo a perfect musical...how did they get to this? And him as Krolock, are you kidding me? What a horrible accent too and the hair! I think Barbies' Ken would be jealous.

But I understand now why this musical ran so shortly on Broadway, and good riddance too!

  • OMG! the german version is so much better.

  • I've read some pretty ourtageous comments beginning with MC "stole" the role from Barton and contributed to his fatal heart attack! It's a competitive business and I guess all's fair, but this is way out there. The controversy proves the saying, "Success has many fathers but failure is an orphan."

  • @audiesgirl They FIRED Jim Steinman, so you can't say he tried to dump blame on anyone.

Anyone who "accepts" that has no idea what they are talking about.

Jimmy however hated the changes made, and turned down his invite to opening night.

He wanted nothing to do with it.

Even then he knew how crap Crawford had made that musical, and he was proved right because Dance Of The Vampires is the biggest financial flop in Broadway history.

And Broadway has seen a lot of flops.

  • Mandy Gonzalez credits Crawford with holding the show together when the production team dissolved in disarray early on in the process. He worked very hard to make something of the mess and was very hurt by the negative press, especially for the effect on young performers who weren't used to being knocked around per her broadway.com interview. It's now accepted that Steinman et. al. tried to dump the blame on their star, disavowing any responsibility for the American version. No class s.o.b's.

  • the german one is much much better, especially the music!

  • oh my god. the original in vienna is muuuuuch better.

    damn shit, sry
