WildKat Wheelchair Bowling

This video was taken at Bury Bowl in Bury St. Edmunds, UK. I hadn't been bowling since my spinal cord injury until shortly before this video was taken. Since then my score has improved and I managed to get 100 in my last game before leaving the UK!

It's easier to line myself up in the right position on this lane because it is close to a wall and I line myself up by listening to the sounds around me. I've been blind since birth.

cool! My ex puts the ball on her lap, heads for th line and launches the ball with both hands straight forward. Looks like a basketball pass but of course the ball drops like a lead balloon. LOL! Her scores aren't too bad though.

I don't bowl that way because I don't want to draw attention to myself like that and because I don't want to damage the lane and make it bad for everyone, bowlers and the owner included. I also like the control I have when I bowl like your suppose to because I can twist my arm etc. to get the ball to curve and things.

Hey that is really cool. I used to bowl before my accident that put me in a wheelchair. Knights of Columbus - that's who we were. We weren't very good but still it was a lot of fun.  You asked to become friends. Sure no problem. Sincerely,d JAMES.

Thanks! My score is a lot better now that I have my own ball because the person drilling the holes made it so I don't need grip to hold it. Thank you for accepting! I read some of your other comments and thought I'd ask. :o)

Man, I really thought you were going to pick up that spare in the first frame. So close!

Let me ask you a question though. Is there anything you miss that you can't compensate for? I'm asking because I miss ice skating. It's the only thing that really bugs me. I'll watch videos of a skater, but even that gets to me sometimes. It is what it is though, right? I've been thinking of having my golf clubs cut down so I can go to a driving range from time to time. I could hit from the chair.
