@2decide Absolutely not your right to decide. A sovereign group of people decides that. Not you, not the federal government. A sovereign people decides their own destiny... understand? Basic human right. Nonviolent resistance is key.

Texas should merge with Mexico

Oh, and those reforms will weaken your nation at first, just like it did to the US, but maybe you'll make it alone and in 100 or so years you'll be a stable nation. And hey, if you need us AMERICANS to save your asses again, we'll send our Davy Crockets, Jim Bowies, and William Travis' to help. But maybe this time, you can actually credit the states they were from, and not just call them "Texan Heroes"

The problem with that argument is that having the LARGEST economy does not mean it has the most STABLE. In fact, many southern right-to-work states actually take in more government money than they pay in taxes, so, bottom line, there are several states that increase the national debt due to imbalances in state economic policy. Texas is one of these negative-bottom-line states. So, go ahead and secede. You'll have to create your own profits, meaning that you'll need legislative reform.

Our federal government is critically screwed and we all know no one is going to fix it so we are just going to throw money at the problem and hope it unscrews itself?
Either party can cite several reasons why this is so.
If Texas seceded it would not hold it back I am sure states like California hold us all back when they can't balance their own budget, they must be mimicing what the fed gov does.
the federal government needs to reboot and defrag but it will not do it by itself.

That would be because your response shows that you don't comprehend what I'm talking about. That was kind of my point...

@fearguis Why am I not surprised that an intellectual lightweight mm4a viewer is incapable of coming up with an actual reply when challenged.
This country is about due for another civil war. Probably be a good thing.

This is so retarded. I live in Texas, and I sure as hell cannot see how it can stand on its own.Texas is dependent just as all the other states on the big fat teats of the US government.Besides U really think a confederacy would really hold? Would Germany or Japan have back down from a bunch of seperate arguementative states?Would the Soviet Union have dared to not expand because of a bunch of disorganized banners? These things were possible because we were UNITED!! We r stronger under one flag.
