A years worth of packrafting footage. Vermont rivers include the Mad River (Warren Falls, Middle, and Lower), Winooski River (Chase Mill, Hugo at low water), New Haven River (Dog Team Falls, and the Ledges), Moose River (Uppermost), and the Wells River (El Salto Falls). In New York the Route 3 Wave on the Black River. In Alaska Crow Creek, Skolai Creek, Nizina Lake, and Nizina River.

  • How does she handle the rapids compared to the hard shelled kayaks?

  • I've never paddled a hard shell in whitewater. From what I know packrafts are easier to learn on, they are more stable and you are less likely to flip. They are less likely to get sucked into holes, since they are so buoyant. Instead of crashing into rocks you bounce off them. Hard shells are always going to be more precise.
