Re: ITS JUST A GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

This is in response to yet another imbecilic fundamentalist with little to no knowledge of gaming culture. This has a few typos though as it was really late when I made this vid.

I got a little concerned though when the only people who responded to him were just more atheists and it started to annoy me. With that I decided to post this up so I can at least prove to him that it's not just them that find his idea stupid.

This features some really popular games as well as some of my favorites but these are NOT like the crazy games in the fundie's video. (To those who liked those games, no offense but this guy is generalizing ALL games under that category and that's bad news for ALL gamers)

Wow... if I had a PS2 I'd probably get ALL of these games.

Yeah really, I cried too to be honest... I think they over did it on the gore a bit. It was worse then a horror movie. I mean I know they wanted to paint a picture of how it would have been if we were to actually have been there, but I think they over did the gore a bit

So true. You know what's even more ironic? He uses pictures from Passion of the Christ in some of his videos. I mean that film seeeeriously moved me (Christ suffering all that for our sins and stuff), however, the scenes? Pure bloody gory! I mean some of my classmates even started crying! D8>

Aye, all wars are caused by people but thats kinda not the point anyway I didn't really mean to say it the way I did it just kinda came out that way. Anyway why do they even pick on games to begin with? its VIRTUAL reality, meaning not real.. You never see them pick on Movies or books which confuses me. All movies really get are "eww thats inapropriate for kids!" but never "omg evillll!!!!" ya know?

Well technically all wars are really caused by people, God and religion are just some of the excuses but that's another subject. ^^;

Anyways, yeah. I really am confused as to why all people (most often Christian fundies) who are against video games are always using games like GTA as an example.

I mean like do they seriously think that all the games in the industry consist of games that have you going around like a criminal?

errr that came out slightly wrong ll but yeah what I meant was they call video games evil, but refuse to look at they're own past in religion, Movies and books don't get the same treatment as videogames, I think they go after the video games because they're easy targets anyway I apoligize if I offended anyone in my previous comment

Ya I know what you mean, One thing thats always bugged me about extremists as well is that they consider video games evil, when the bible says thou shalt not kill, but more wars and death have happened in the name of God then any video game ya know?

So true. Then there's the fact that the Bible itself can be pretty gory. Scenes of torture and execution, while glorious moments of martyrdom that show the power of faith, are pretty graphic on the details.
