@Scruggsnut To be exact, this is a console steel guitar, which can mean either a lap steel fitted with legs or more of them bolted together, usually with some shared electronics.

@harfuch1 It is NOT a Pedal Steel guitar, it is called a Lap Steel, and, has no pedals or levers.

As you say, most (but, not all) Country players used Pedal Steels, which, you have to play sitting down (to operate the knee levers), but Johnny always to my knowledge played a straight 3 neck Lap Steel which can be played satnding up.

It isnt the beatles but its still an intresting version of the song :) i dislike most of Santo & Johnny with words included but this peticular song i feel is always way more effective with the lyrics :)
