@Hulk2k6 Similar story for me, could never really watch it, lot on Gold in midweek, because i was always at school or out and about, so it was usually the Saturday ominbus i would have to settle for.
-
I would always try to get my old-school Neighbours fix before school but always had to leave for my bus 5 minutes before the end. Still the Saturday Omnibuses at 10 (later 12 then back 10) were worth waiting for.

@Hulk2k6 We got sky about 96 too and around that period like all the old soap repeats, i watched Neighbours ominbus addition on a Saturday morning whenever i could, never got as far as the dreaded Hannah Martin era repeat wise thank God Lol. Seen plenty of clips of Katie, Todd's kid sister and im sure characters like Bronwyn,Sharon and Nick were even still in Erinsborough when i first tuned in, but apart from the repeats too young to remember Daphne,Charlene and Mrs Mangel first hand.

I watched the 1988 season repeated on UK Gold back in '95 (had only just gotten cable) and kept on going until the repeats hit the awful 1995 season (Hannah Martin overload; ick) in 2002.
Todd was one of six new characters introduced in 1988 along with Katie, Joe M, Nick P, Sharon and Bronwyn but stuck around long after they left. In fact 1988 was one the best years despite losing Daph, Charlene and Mrs Mangel.

@Hulk2k6 I quite agree, they were like the newer generation of Neighbours kids, i sort of missed that era first hand of Scott/Charlene/Mike and Jane, but watched repeats on UK Gold around 95/96, so got plenty of insight into their characters, but this was sort of my first glimpses of Neighbours 6-7 years old, watching it with my mum and sister and these four just stuck out for me, almost did give Jim the opportunity to play dad again.
-
They were clearly set up in the Scott/Charlene/Mike/Jane mould but nowhere as popular. It was that point Todd became a star in his own right instead of just being an excuse for Jim to play Dad again after his lot left home.

@solidpeag I had only started tuning into Neighbours by this stage, so i would say i was far too young to say i had crush on either Cody or Melissa, but i agree both extremely pretty girls and i bet most teenage lads like yourself couldn't get enough of those two back then, Todd and Josh were lucky fella's.

Classic scene, did love the growing friendship between these 4 characters Todd,Josh,Cody and Melissa.

Legendary ep. I was 16 at the time and had such a crush on Cody and Melissa, I thought all my dreams were about to come true.
Wow brings back memories. Did you have this on VHS all this time? I would love a few runs of the late 80s, early 90s Neighbours.

@mattbod No, these were from repeats on Channel 10 in Australia around 2002-04. ;)
