  • wow, that was an M11 on those 6000's? i drove that on my old 18 wheeler. that engine sucked, lol! it was only 350hp.

  • @bonnevillessei

It was only 25 buses that had this setup. Buses from my home system had 30 with five using Voith Transmissions

  • So how'd you like these compared to ours?

  • They were nice. Rattled like crap but otherwise pretty good

  • what was dat rattling?

  • That was the combination of the seats and A/C unit behind me

  • @chris942633 You bringing back good memories :-D

  • @chris942633 Yeap it sounds just like them! Kinda sounds like the Cummins version of a Series 60 OMI

  • @Nabinut oh, now i remember which bus they were...the 6300's and some 6200 that were higher up in series like 6299 or somethign. those motors sounded like the MAN bus we had 20 years ago....

  • I seriously hope that these Flxs will be back on the road soon if the services that got reduced last few months gets restored.

  • Your Attention please, love the annuciator's Public Service Announcements!

  • Gotta love the rattle of the Flxible Metro! I also love the Annuciators!

  • Cota purchased 80 of the 95 Flx and all of them have them have the engine and trans combo you note. Cota just repainted all but, two of them strtng frm the summer of 08 through last summer. Two were knock out due to accidents in 2008, 9515 and (9537 this one I heard may get fixed). Thy are still a primary flleet. The 67, 9300s tht were purchased are now considered the bck up except 9301 it's out everyday. The new flyers don't like the heat so I'm sure the 9300s will be out this summer.

  • what year were they?
