its not about needing a gun right now.. its a right, stated in the 2nd amendment of the US constitution.

Bunch of liberal wankers.....the second ammendment was not created to protect one from ' cougars and bears...', but that: 'A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed'.
Better to have a gun and not need it, then to need it and not have it!

Instead of Maher's "I gotta kill something NOW!", suppose it was a matter of "Someone wants to kill me NOW!". Would Maher et al. be rational enough to 'permit' the intended victim to exercise the basic instinct of every living creature --- self-defense --- with the most effective tool, a gun? Perhaps he would prefer to cling to his mistaken ideals and sacrifice innocent life on his altar of "gun control".

Also, last time I checked, there was no amendment that made e.g. social democracies impossible. There is no inherent civil side to socialism. It can be civil libertarian or civil authoritarian. No offense, but you should stop throwing the words communist and socialist around because you clearly have the level of intelligence of your average Fox-news anchor when it comes to that. I used to throw those words around. Then I actually educated myself on them.
