  • If you cannot afford a philips with ambilight, I just started another alternative with the same effect on indiegogo.

  • @Shroomsterdam Look up Sylvania HaloLight from the 1950's... you will find a good read on why they think ambient lighting is a good idea.

  • This ''technology' so to speak was introduced in the '50's from Sylvania... called HaloLight.

  • Now why would you want it to light up like that all around the edge? Is this to hide the low static contrast ratio you get with digital displays?

  • het licht op de rand lijdt gloof ik wel een beetje af.. tenminste ik was de hele tijd naar die rand aan het kijken.
