This brings me to tears every time I watch it. I just saw him play in Luckenbach, Texas last weekend. An absolute underrated folk/country genius. Why more people don't know about him, I'll never understand.  This, to me, is what country music always represented.

i could almost swear that last song is in the movie "crazy heart"!!?? spent one nite listening to billy...and i thought i could spend a few more days doing so...just really love the heart and soul and deep feelings he puts into every song he does!

i do belive this is one of the saddest songs and stories i have ever come across and my heart goes out to billy joe as i realize tomorowis the anniversary........oddly just came across him tonight .. a beautiful song for his son! could listen to him forever...so beautiful !! i never knew who sang this last one...always loved this song!....man has he got heart and soul!!!!!i absolutely love his voice! just love him!

Billy Jo is an amazing performer with a unique style. One of my absolute favorites. Thank you for posting this video. I lost my Dad and Brother who were both musicians and I can relate to his pain. Thanks again.
