This 8-minute training video on CD demonstrates high voltage cable cleaning procedures during splicing and termination. Methods are shown to remove different types of shields and compounds from insulation. The "Do's and Don'ts" of abrasion, solvent spraying, and cleaning techniques are presented, including safe methods for using SpliceMaster® cleaning solvents.

  • Sorry, this might be a stupid question to you, but why do you need to clean it? Thank you

  • All contaminants must be cleaned from conductors prior to splicing or they can leave a "track" or pathway for voltage to follow, which can lead to splice failure.

  • nice and informative, but really the only people who need to know this are the people who do this, and they should have learned this in their training... 4/5

  • Not all training is the same. And not all training includes information about the many cleaners available and which is best.

  • This aint nothing compared to what me and my home"drinking"boy works with. We have cables around 1m diameter and running electricity around 4000 amperes. High voltage cables for life! <3 ABB is the sheeeiet.

  • There are no high voltage cables to be cleaned in consumer level electronics. These cleaners are for utility distribution cables.

  • which company?

  • SpliceMaster Cleaners aren't chlorinated solvents. They replace chlorinated solvents.
