Whatever happened to Orcs in Space? Clocking in at almost an hour, this video features candid commentary from the people who have spent the last two decades creating the games that helped make Blizzard Entertainment the company it is today.

  • So many memories indeed... And all the emotions I get from this.

I watch this pretty much everyday. Best vid on utube ever.

When I just think of it I get this feeling in my throat, the feeling u get when ur sad. Thinking on their hard times...

  • @plutarch78 My guess`d be painfull broke up back in 2003 and later in 2005 it`s bye bye for Blizzard North. Did they show anyone from Blizzard North? Non that I`m aware of :( + They didn`t show Diablo II and it`s expansion pack Lord of Destruction. Hell they didn`t even mention Diablo III even though it was announced back in 2008. Why?

It`s like you`re embarested and want to hide it.

    What a pitty.

  • @WowMortenz anyway if piracy is killing the industry why are companies like ea and blizzard and activision all reporting record profits?

all drm and online passcodes are is the companies saying you the consumer are guilty until proven innocent, we will deny access until you prove you bought it and thats fucking bullshit and i wont support it.

do some research before you talk please or youl make yourself sound like a fucking retard. or maybe you are a retard i dont know, dont care.

  • @randomer1432 Or, you know. They're trying to prevent piracy, which is killing the game/music/movie industry. Typical kids not knowing what they're talking about.

  • No mention of Diablo 2? Classy as always, Blizzard.

  • thanks for this. so many childhood memories!!!

maybe on day i might work for blizzard :)

  • The game as amayzing, a great rpg-mmo, current wow is just a 3dchat room with some casual minigames.

  • But the only game I remember clearly was when I was in my high school year, I used to play Starcraft and Warcraft 3 alot and just was obsessed with it. I remember playing all the campaigns and playing w/different races, and getting to play with different people online and play custom maps (battlenet) Oh.. how I miss those days..And now seeing this video inspired me to be in the gaming industry and design games. I think I have found what I really want to do. So I Thank you for this video. ALOT

  • So eventually, I would skip 1 or 2 classes each semester, make excuses, and eventually dropping a couple of classes. I knew then I was slacking off, doing other unproductive things, such as watching, playing in my own little laptop..and soon I called my parents to discuss this issue..then I was surfing the web finding about other design industries and came upon game design. When I thought of games, I realized in my childhood years, I played alot of nintendo, ps2, xbox, etc etc..

  • Im currently a Junior studying Transportation design and its my 3rd yr in College for Creative Studies. At first I was interested in the field of designing cars and such. Ive met great students and instructors there. In my freshman year, I was very devoted and had a really nice start. Then up until soph and junior, things started to feel like I am no longer interested and feel unassociated within the learning design team...
