A few pictures and a short video-clip of my baby sister's pony, Festus. I love training this little genious of a pony for her, he is simply the best =P

The video clip is of a failed attempt at piaff in the snow. Festus wasn't all too happy about snow on top of ice, and was convinced that I was trying to kill him, I think... So he was a little bit tense and lost the tact a few times. But he did allright anyway, I think!

(The text at the end is wrong by the way. It's supposed to say Song: Requiem for a Dream By: Clint Mansell. Sorry!)

  • You try sitting correct on an overweight pony, that is simply impossible. I'd be sitting only on my tighs if I were to try it. And my legs aren't touching his sides so if they dangle a bit, whats the difference? I'm also fully aware that I'm to big for him, but he is a strong pony and it won't hurt him that I train him every now and then. My sister is still not capable of riding him quite as well as I do, and if he uses his body correct those few times I train him then there is no harm in it.

  • you are not too heavy for your pony. It's the American attitude to have the biggest of everything. Let me tell you the most important thing ,be good to your cute pony.

  • @Rooonja98 It's Requiem for a dream.

Your pony is great. I love it how you work with him.

Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany. ;)

  • yeeah, ponys habens drauf! ;D

  • sooo cute D:< !!!!

  • Haha... You are not too big for him. They are very strong animals. If you were huge, and you were hurting him with bad balance, bouncing around, etc, he would make clear he did not want you there.

Think about it.. a mare can handle the full weight of a stallion on her back...

  • i only saw one thing that would get marked down and thats the fact his front end is crossing over slightly, even so i still think he looks amazing:-D and nothing wrong with the rider x

  • I liked the video. I thought that he looked happy and willing and trying to please the rider. I saw no resistance. Nice.
